In 2022 CE5 UK HICE published an Android app, it has been hugely popular and gained wonderful feedback. We anticipate that it will be discontinued in April/May 2024 as we cannot afford to keep funding it. You may still be able to download it, it is found here for free:

The following apps below are recommended for all teams. It is important to try and preserve your objectivity, so we advocate using the following apps to try and look for credible explanations for experiences first, before proclaiming you have had contact

These apps will help to screen out satellites, stars and almost all airplanes. Both have free versions, one (Star Walk 2) has augmented reality which is particularly useful during CE5/HICE fieldwork.

Star Walk 2 will help you identify and screen out atmospheric distortion of stars that might make something you are seeing is an experience. It was also help identify satellites, which are frequently incorrectly reported as UFO's.

Flightradar 24 will help screen out planes and terrestrial airbourne vehicles.
